Voice of nature: Short film competition

Enter the Voice of Nature Film Competition and stand a chance to walk away with a cash prize of N$ 1,500.

Terms and Conditions

Objective

Participants are invited to create a short video in which they impersonate an element of nature, such as a tree, river, mountain, animal, or ocean, and express what they wish humans would do differently to protect and preserve the environment.

Video requirements

  • Videos must not be longer than 2 minutes.
  • Opening line: “Hi, I am (element of nature)”
  • Speak as if you are that natural element (e.g., “I am the forest, and I am suffocating…”)
  • Clearly state what you wish humans would stop or start doing.
  • Your tone should emphasise urgency, environmental solutions and respect for nature.
  • You may use costumes, props or natural setting for impact to enhance your message.
  • Speak passionately – make nature’s voice heard.
  • Keep it simple and heartfelt.

Judging criteria

Entries will be evaluated based on:

  • Creativity and originality
  • Relevance to environmental protection
  • Emotional impact
  • Clarity of message
  • Video quality and presentation.

Media terms and conditions

  • After the submission deadline, all videos will be published on the NYCE YouTube channel.
  • Note that views and interactions will not influence the judging process.
  • The winning video will be featured on all NYCE social media platforms, including the official website.

Eligibility

This competition is for NYCE members ONLY. Non-NYCE members are required to apply for membership before entering the competition.
