The Namibian Youth Chamber of Environment (NYCE)

We are motivated to lead impactful initiatives in the conservation space that will actively advocate for environmental conservation and sustainable development across all sectors of Namibian society.

Expanding the reach of conservation messages to a diverse young audience, including non-conservation professionals working in every sector of Namibia’s economy representing all cultural backgrounds and socio-economic levels. NYCE members can engage with schools, clubs and other stakeholders in their towns and villages to create awareness and inspire collective action for the environment.

Equipping the Namibian youth with knowledge and skills needed for them to excel in their respective careers, address current environmental challenges independently and confidently, while developing their leadership abilities. NYCE members have the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals in the environment sector to guide their own activities and career paths.

Preparing the Namibian youth to face potential future threats to their environment and to develop viable solutions for a sustainable future through advocacy and active engagement in policy- and decision-making. NYCE members discover how national, regional and international policies and agreements affect their environment and communities, and are empowered to make their voices heard on relevant platforms.

Our Partners

NYCE is the youth branch of the Namibian Chamber of Environment (NCE), which provides us with financial and technical support. We work alongside Felines Communication and Conservation Consultants that produce the Conservation Namibia website and associated magazine on behalf of NCE. This partnership provides NYCE with long-term institutional stability, while retaining flexibility and freedom to chart our own path.
